Job summary

Mestek Machinery in Cedar Rapids, IA, is seeking a Quality Tech to perform routine quality inspections across production, including in-process and final checks on new machinery.

The ideal candidate will have an Associate Engineer Degree or equivalent (electrical or mechanical) and at least 3 years of manufacturing experience, with proficiency in electronic test equipment and precision measuring tools. Strong communication and independent work skills are required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• QC inspection of all new equipment.
• Review checklists for compliance with specifications per customer agreements.
• Act as liaison between production and engineering for technical updates.
• Provide overflow part quality checks as needed for machining operations.
• Design and implement methods for process control, testing, and inspection.
• Record and maintain documentation of machinery inspections.
• Coordinate with safety committee to ensure compliance with EHS regulations.
