Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Machinery Maintenance Associate to support the ongoing operation and reliability of our production equipment. This role is responsible for conducting regular machinery inspections, performing routine and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting both mechanical and electrical issues, and coordinating with production staff to minimize downtime. The ideal candidate is hands-on, self-motivated, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify wear, damage, or safety concerns.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks according to manufacturer and company guidelines.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical problems in various machines and systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance, testing, adjusting, servicing, and repairs on a wide range of machines and mechanical systems.
- Coordinate maintenance activities with production personnel to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
- Safely operate tow motors (forklifts) to transport machinery parts, tools, and equipment.
- Document all maintenance work performed, including issues identified and corrective actions taken.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Follow all safety protocols, lockout/tagout procedures, and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school certification preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in machinery maintenance or industrial equipment repair.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Proficient in using hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and measuring instruments.
- Tow motor (forklift) experience required; certification preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and work orders.
- Self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, stand, and work in various positions and environments.
Qualifications:
- Experience in a manufacturing or production facility.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and CMMS software.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices for industrial maintenance.
