Job summary

Pieper Automation in Wrightstown, WI seeks an Engineer, Automation – Machine Vision Specialist to design, program, implement and commission machine vision inspection systems across industrial processes. You will integrate with PLCs, optics, lighting, and documentation to support scalable delivery and robust production performance.

You will lead complex inspection‑system design, troubleshoot image quality and connectivity, and develop development plans for continued growth in vision

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• Typically up to two years of experience in industrial automation and/or training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for project execution, collaborating with Pieper team and customers.
• Follow Pieper Automation Way in design, programming, and project documentation.
• Lead programming efforts within vision systems and PLC interfaces when assigned; support startup activities.
• Coordinate parts acquisition and collaborate with panel shop, machine shop, electrical and mechanical teams.
