Aiken Technical College in Graniteville, South Carolina seeks an adjunct instructor for Machine Tool Technology. Classes may meet daytime, evenings, weekends, or online, with potential split schedules and dual enrollment in high schools.

Duties include hands-on and theory instruction, syllabus development, and maintaining course materials while supervising students. A Master’s degree is required to teach transferable courses; five years of machining experience is preferred.

Formación

• Associate’s degree in Machine Tool Technology or related industrial discipline with five years of direct machining experience.
• Master’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited school is required for transferable courses.
• Knowledge and experience in operating mills, lathes, grinders, and drill presses (CNC, CMM) are required.

Responsabilidades

• Instruction including hands-on and theory, classroom management, and administrative tasks such as reports, syllabus and lesson plan development.
• Prepare and/or maintain current course syllabi for courses taught.
• Ensure that course is taught in accordance with the established syllabi.
• Recommend instructional materials suitable for the course.
• Recommend appropriate laboratory facilities/equipment for the course.
• Supervision of students.
