Job summary

KAAST Machine Tools is hiring a Machine Tool Service Technician in Houston, TX. This role combines shop and field work, performing installation, inspection, troubleshooting, and maintenance of CNC and conventional machines for customers across North America.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year in machine tool service, strong mechanical/electrical aptitude, and the ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics. Travel 25–50% and a base pay is offered.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of industrial machine installation, maintenance, or repair experience preferred.
• Hands-on experience with machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, saws, grinders, press brakes, shears, or other fabrication equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
• Working knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including 3-phase power.
• Ability to read blueprints, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics.
• Excellent communication and the ability to interact professionally with customers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare new machines for customer shipment.
• Uncrate, assemble, power up, and perform complete inspections and operational testing.
• Complete written inspection and service reports.
• Install machinery and assist with machine startups.
• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repairs on customer equipment.
• Provide technical support to customers over the phone and on-site.
