Job summary

KAAST Machine Tools in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Machine Tool Service Technician for a shop and field role. You will prepare, inspect, install, and service CNC and conventional machine tools at our warehouse and at customer sites.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year of industrial maintenance experience, strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, and the ability to read blueprints. Travel 25–50% to customer sites and trade shows; valid driver's license required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of industrial machine installation, maintenance, or repair experience.
• Hands-on experience with machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, saws, grinders, press brakes, or similar equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and customer-service mindset.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel 25–50%.

Responsibilities

• Prepare new machines for customer shipment.
• Uncrate, assemble, power up, and perform inspections and tests.
• Complete written inspection and service reports.
• Install machinery and assist with machine startups.
• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
• Provide technical support to customers over the phone and on-site.
• Demonstrate machines and train operators.
• Document service work and maintenance activities.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
