Job summary

Vulcan Metals Corporation seeks a Welder for first shift in St. Joseph, MO. You will perform production welding using various processes, carbon arc air, cutting torch work, and operate grinders.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to safely operate welding processes and related tools.
• Experience with grinders, cutting torches, and arc air preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate various grinders electric and pneumatic as needed.
• Use cutting torch for fabrication and repairs.
• Utilize Carbon Arc (Arc Air) to remove defects and dress welds.
• Assist with crane operations and material handling.
• Apply problem solving to improve productivity and quality.

Position Overview: As a Welder based in St. Joseph, MO you will be responsible for performing various production functions using various welding processes, air carbon arcing, cutting torch functions and operating various grinders.
SHIFT: 1st Shift
PAY: $25.72- $27.88
Responsibilities:

• Work individually and as a team with other
• Operate various grinders electric and pneumatic preferred
• Operation and usage of cutting torch
• Operation and usage of Carbon Arc (Arc Air) for removal of defects and dressing
• Operation of bridge cranes preferred
• Use problem solving skills to improve machine productivity and quality.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED

Skills:

• Ability to follow job safety analysis and work instructions
• Ability to use all required personal protective equipment
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
