Job summary

Laboratory Testing Inc. is seeking a full-time Milling Operator in Hatfield, PA, to join our machine shop. You will set up and operate CNC milling equipment for long and short runs, ensuring accuracy and traceability in accordance with LTI procedures.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years of CNC milling experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and basic programming knowledge. US work eligibility is required under ITAR; a comprehensive benefits package is offered including health and 401k with company

• Maintains traceability of materials and parts during operations.
• Ensures shop equipment and instruments are calibrated before use and reports issues.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs all types of milling operations as assigned by the Machine Shop Supervisor. This includes setting up for long and short runs of parts.
• Squares up and machines specimens out of odd, shaped configurations to LTI procedures.
• Operates multiple machines during a normal workday.
• Follows all applicable and required specifications and procedures, ensuring accuracy and compliance to machining requirements.
• Maintains traceability of materials and parts during operations.
• Ensures that the shop equipment and instruments are functioning properly and in calibration prior to performing any work. Informs the supervisor whenever any equipment is found to be out of calibration or in need of repair.
• Troubleshoots problems and takes corrective action, as necessary and appropriate and within guidelines as established by the supervisor or manager.
• Monitors scheduled completion dates and times to ensure that established schedules are met. The supervisor must be notified sufficiently in advance whenever the schedule for a job might not be met.
• Inputs required data into computer software accurately and on a timely basis.
• Assists with maintaining shop equipment. This includes cleaning the equipment, performing preventive maintenance as scheduled, and performing repair maintenance as required.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• 2-4 year's experience with CNC milling preferred.
• Candidate should have good mechanical aptitude and a working knowledge of programming.
• Must meet citizenship eligibility required by accrediting bodies.
