Superior Industries Inc. in Belen, NM, seeks a Machine Shop Team Lead to oversee daily machining operations, guide shop floor personnel, and ensure safety, quality, and throughput.

You'll balance hands-on support with team coordination, drive continuous improvement, coach operators on CNC and manual equipment, read blueprints and inspect parts to meet engineering prints. This hands-on leadership role emphasizes 5S, lean practices, and a collaborative culture aligned with our core values.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on machining experience preferred, CNC mills/lathes and/or manual machines.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to coach teams in high-pressure production environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills with root-cause analysis and scrap reduction mindset.
• Familiarity with precision measuring tools and basic tooling management.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily machining operations and supervise shop floor personnel.
• Ensure safety, quality, and through-put; perform first-piece inspections and adhere to prints.
• Coordinate labor, materials, and tooling to meet production schedules; manage 5S and Lean initiatives.
