This role oversees a team of approximately 10–15 employees and is responsible for driving production, quality, safety, and continuous improvement across a diverse machining environment. You'll work in a unique operation that combines both high-volume production and high‑mix, low-volume manufacturing, requiring someone who is comfortable managing rapid changeovers, balancing priorities, and finding creative solutions to improve efficiency.

This is a great opportunity for a leader who enjoys being on the shop floor, developing employees, solving problems, and making a visible impact on the business.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead and develop a team of 10–15 machine shop employees
  • Supervise day-to-day machine shop operations to meet production, quality, and delivery goals
  • Plan and adjust workflows to support both high-volume and custom manufacturing requirements
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, and cost savings
  • Coordinate rapid changeovers and production scheduling in a high-mix manufacturing environment
  • Troubleshoot machining, tooling, fixturing, and workflow challenges
  • Interpret blueprints, specifications, and job requirements
  • Partner with maintenance, engineering, quality, and operations teams to improve performance
  • Support employee development through coaching, training, and performance management
  • Maintain a safe work environment and reinforce company safety standards
  • Monitor production metrics and identify opportunities for process optimization
  • Provide oversight and scheduling support for ancillary operations, including plastics molding activities

  • 5+ years of machining and manufacturing experience
  • Previous leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience
  • Strong understanding of CNC machining processes
  • Experience managing production schedules and shop floor priorities
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and team leadership abilities
  • Experience working in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment
Preferred
  • Experience with Haas mills and lathes
  • CAM programming experience, including Fusion 360 or similar software
  • G-Code programming knowledge
  • Lean Manufacturing experience
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
  • Experience with tooling, fixturing, and process optimization
  • Exposure to plastic injection molding operations
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a manufacturing‑related field
What Makes You Successful

Why Join Us
  • Stable and growing organization with a long history of success
