Job summary

Air Squared, Inc. is seeking a Machine Shop Manager in Thornton, CO to oversee all aspects of the machine shop, manage personnel and scheduling, and coordinate labor and materials. The role requires strong leadership and a focus on safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities include hiring, training, performance feedback, and interaction with the Technical Manager to ensure the team is equipped to perform at a high level. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required; associate or bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in personnel management (preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in machine shop/manufacturing environment (required).

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the machine shop.
• Manage machine shop personnel and monitor employee performance. Provide frequent constructive feedback to employees to encourage continued improvement.
• Facilitate the training process of new machine shop employee with support from the Technical Manager. Ensure they are provided with all the necessary tools and training to do the job safely and effectively.
• Manage hiring, disciplinary action and terminations within the machine shop.
• Schedule machines and staff for maximum productivity.
• Coordinate all labor and materials in the machine shop.
• Assist and provide input with purchasing for items related to manufacturing.
• Administer company policies as necessary. Maintain open communication with Human Resources regarding application of these policies and any personnel issues within the department.
• Schedule training as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

We are looking for a Machine Shop Manager who will be responsible for scheduling, quality, and coordination of all labor and materials in the machine shop department.

Pay Range: $85,000 - $105,000 / year, based on qualifications and experience
