Job summary

Lydech in Hamptonville, NC is seeking a maintenance/changeover technician to ensure safe, timely, and efficient tooling changes for a manufacturing production line. You will support line setup, machine operation, and adjustments during runs.

Responsibilities include managing die sets, reviewing schedules, coordinating with shift leadership, monitoring downtime, and maintaining 6S standards across work areas; forklift cert required; high school diploma and several years maintenance experience

Qualifications

  • High School, GED or equivalent.
  • 3 years maintenance experience.
  • 1 year manufacturing experience - press experience strongly preferred.
  • Hydraulic training strongly preferred.
  • Crane certification strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure daily line die sets and tool changes are sufficient to meet production requirements.
  • Review schedules and requirements for each production line.
  • Communicate with prior and incoming Team Leader/Shift Manager on schedule/die set changeover status and known priorities.
  • Notify shift lead of unplanned downtime or risk of not meeting schedule/order requirements.
  • Coordinate line changes/die sets at shift start-up and changes for maximum effectiveness.
  • Change out dies and associated components as needed for line/machine changeovers.
  • Production support as needed, including gripper installation and adjustment, material adjustment, staging of changeover components, and machine operation.
  • Die shop support as needed, including transport and staging of tools to and from die shop, and cleaning of tools.
  • Maintain all areas where equipment is being maintained to 6S standards.
  • Work on other shifts for training purposes upon request.
  • Report any unsafe acts or conditions.
  • Must be able to attain and maintain forklift certification.
  • Must adhere to all company and location policies and safety rules.
  • Must be able to work extended hours when required.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Job description

The purpose of this position is to ensure the safe , timely and efficient change of tooling related components for a manufacturing production line /machine changeover. Position is expected to support production in other wide-ranging areas including but not limited to overall line set up, machine operation, and adjustments throughout the production run.

Duties and Responsibilities:
