Drylock Technologies Ltd. in Eau Claire, WI, is seeking a Machine Responsible to own the performance, standards, and continuous improvement of assigned converting lines. This hands-on role combines machine expertise, process development, daily execution, and coaching across shifts.

You will drive uptime, quality, and cost performance, develop SOPs, train operators, and lead cross-functional improvements with safety in mind; minimum 4 years in high-speed production; technical degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own line performance and drive uptime, output, scrap, quality, and customer service results.
• Define and protect standards: establish process settings, SOPs, audits, checklists, changeover expectations, and standard work.
• Coach and align teams: train adjusters and lead operators for consistency across shifts.
• Drive daily follow-up: communicate priorities through line reports and production meetings, escalate urgent needs.
• Lead improvement: use data, troubleshooting, corrective actions, preventive maintenance planning, and cross-functional support to reduce losses.

Role Purpose

The Machine Responsible is a hands-on technical leader who owns the standard, performance, and continuous improvement of assigned converting lines. This role combines machine expertise, process development & control, daily execution, people coaching, and disciplined follow-up to improve safety, quality, uptime, output, scrap, and cost performance.

Machine Responsibles are expected to define the “way of work,” prove it daily, and coach others to follow it consistently across shifts.

• Own line performance: Drive assigned lines toward target uptime, output, scrap, quality, and customer service results.
• Define and protect standards: Establish process settings, SOPs, audits, checklists, changeover expectations, and standard work.

Ideal Candidate

• Hands-on manufacturing, mechanical, process, or converting equipment experience.
• Strong ownership mindset with the ability to set priorities, act without constant supervision, and follow through until actions are closed.
• Clear communicator who can work across Production, Maintenance, Engineering, Scheduling, Quality, Parts Room, and suppliers.
• Technical degree in a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a high-speed production or manufacturing environment.
• Comfortable reading, creating, and maintaining SOPs, work documents, audits, checklists, line reports, and basic performance data.
• High-energy team leader who balances safety, quality, customer service, cost, and output in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Higher net output per hour and stronger line reliability.
• Lower scrap and reduced recurring downtime.
• Faster corrective action closure and stronger preventive maintenance readiness.

This role is performed primarily in an industrial manufacturing environment. Safety matters here: required PPE includes hearing protection, steel toe shoes, cut-resistant gloves when using cutting tools, and eye protection when working with compressed air.
