Job summary

Dauch Corporation is seeking a Machine Technician to perform work within a union environment, dispatched to maintain equipment, systems, and processes to support manufacturing production.

Required skills include reading blueprints, measuring ball screw backlash with an indicator, spindle removal and realignment, hydraulic system work, and crane rigging with a valid mobile crane license. Journeyperson status or eight years' trade experience is required; overtime and shift flexibility are expected.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years manufacturing experience in an automotive supplier setting.
• Ability to check backlash in a ball screw using an indicator and to remove/set up/install a ball screw assembly.
• Realign turret heads, spindles, chucks, etc. using indicators.
• Spindle removal, rebuild, and replacement.
• Ability to read blueprints (bearing stack up, hydraulic systems).
• Hydraulic cylinder and pump removal, rebuild, and replacement.
• Hydraulic system troubleshooting.
• Mobile crane license and rigging.
• Ability to work well with others and in teams.
• Perform other duties as required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain equipment, systems and processes to support manufacturing production.
• Disassemble/repair/realign spindles and ball screws as needed.
• Read blueprints including bearing stack up and hydraulic systems.
• Work with hydraulic cylinders/pumps; perform removal/rebuilds as required.
• Operate crane and perform rigging in a union environment.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals.

Position Requirements

• Possess a certified journeyperson's card (or similar contractual journeyperson status) or document a minimum of eight years of experience in specific trade from previous employer's company letterhead.
• Available to work overtime and flexible schedule as required within union facility agreement.
• Available to work any shift as required.
• Ability to pass pre‑employment physical including drug testing.
• Ability to pass pre‑employment background check.
