Job description

American Thermal Instruments (ATI), a leader in the thermal monitoring, is looking for a Machine/Production Operator. This is an ideal position for an individual that has a keen eye for the smallest details and enjoys being hands on while working with a dynamic team. Detailed and driven machine operator with over 3 years of experience running production equipment, performing repairs, minimizing downtime, and exceeding output targets safely.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Attention to detail: Setup, prepare and operate equipment for the following production processes: chemical formulation, Aztech Slitter, i-Cut, small dot, stripe coat, and Tunnel 1/Tunnel 2. Prepare finished products for shipment to customers, which includes but is not limited to; visual/dimensional inspection, tape, slit, roll, fold, and package. Inspecting final products closely to spot defects and ensure quality control.
  • Setup and Operation:Calibrate machines, adjust settings, and load materials to start production runs. Monitor production equipment and perform regular maintenance for operational excellence. Clean equipment, perform repairs, and fix operational issues.
  • Record Keeping: Log production numbers, material usage, and equipment faults. Input data into ERP system to assist with production operation tracking.
  • Quality Control: Adheres to the Quality Policy, including all items assigned to this position in accordance with ISO, FDA & Company policies, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Safety Compliance:Maintains safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Meet goals:Follow daily work schedules and production targets. Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
  • Communication:Working well with team members and supervisors to report issues.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Successful characteristics include being detail oriented, self-motivated, and capable of working well under pressure within a team environment. Individual must have the ability to read and follow work instructions. Individual must know how machines work, setting them up, and performing basic repairs, understanding technical manuals, basic math, calculating counts, weights, and measurements related to production tasks and computer basics. Individual must possess a high school diploma or GED.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Working conditions are normal for a production environment with varying temperatures depending on the external climate and specific work cell. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; kneel; climb; crouch or crawl; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Machine/Production Operator will be required to follow all safety rules and regulations and will be required to appropriately use Personal Protective Equipment. Some mandatory overtime may be required.
