Job summary

Hypertherm in Hanover, NH, seeks a Machine Process Technician to support tooling design, fixtures and workstations for new products in Heavy Industrial. You will set up test equipment, collect data, run tests and document results in Excel or Minitab, while aiding process improvements to meet quality targets. The role requires 5–8 years in machining or machine programming, strong GD&T, G Codes, and the ability to read schematics; SolidWorks/Esprit CAD/CAM experience is a plus.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; related machining background preferred.
  • 5–8 years of machining/mechatronics or machine programming experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and use measuring tools.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Manufacturing Process Engineer in tooling, fixtures and workstations design.
  • Set up test equipment and collect data with Excel or Minitab.
  • Support quality targets and contribute to root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Develop and support process automation, CNC and CAM tasks.
  • Provide training for line changeovers and tool adjustments.

Machine Process Technician - Heavy IndustrialAs a 100% Associate-owned, global leader in providing advanced industrial cutting solutions, Hypertherm offers a collaborative work environment while promoting empowerment and a positive work-life balance.We are looking to add a Machine Process Technician to our technical staff at 21 Great Hollow Road in Hanover, NH. As a Machine Process Technician, you’ll work under the direction of engineers or other senior personnel, performing tasks which require technical knowledge to support our Heavy Industrial Business team.Key Responsibilities:Assist the area’s Manufacturing Process Engineer(s) in support of the design of tooling, fixtures, and workstations essential for new product introductionSupport technology development, sustaining engineering, and cost savings initiativesUtilize prior experience to support product and technology development and sustaining engineering initiatives through team effortsSet up test equipment and data acquisition equipmentAssist in the writing of tests, as well as conducting tests. Collect and document data and test results in computerized records, preferably using Excel or MinitabAssist the area MPE(s) to ensure that production area processes operate within quality metric targets. Monitor trends in quality performance and aid in the execution of root cause analysis and corrective action plansParticipate in the investigation and purchase of new equipment and tooling.
