Job summary

Hypertherm is hiring a Machine Process Technician in Lebanon, NH. You will support engineers in tooling design, fixture setup, and process improvements for new products.

Role involves data collection, testing, and maintaining quality targets across automated and manual equipment. You will set up and program machines, read schematics and GD&T, and collaborate with process engineers to drive cost savings and tooling advancements.

Qualifications

  • 5–8 years of machining and/or machine programming experience.
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written).
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and GD&T.
  • Proficient with mechanical/electronic measuring equipment.
  • Knowledge of cutting tools, geometries, coatings.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Manufacturing Process Engineer in tooling, fixtures and workstations for new product introduction.
  • Support technology development, sustaining engineering and cost-savings initiatives.
  • Set up test equipment and collect data in Excel or Minitab.
  • Ensure processes operate within quality targets; aid root cause analysis.
  • Provide input for equipment/tooling road map and perform line-changeover training.

Machine Process Technician - Central MachiningAs a 100% Associate-owned, global leader in providing advanced industrial cutting solutions, Hypertherm offers a collaborative work environment while promoting empowerment and a positive work-life balance.We are looking to add a Machine Process Technician to our technical staff at 100 Etna Road in Lebanon, NH. As a Machine Process Technician, you’ll work under the direction of engineers or other senior personnel, performing tasks which require technical knowledge to support our business.Key Responsibilities:Assist the area’s Manufacturing Process Engineer(s) in support of the design of tooling, fixtures, and workstations essential for new product introductionSupport technology development, sustaining engineering, and cost savings initiativesUtilize prior experience to support product and technology development and sustaining engineering initiatives through team effortsSet up test equipment and data acquisition equipmentAssist in the writing of tests, as well as conducting tests. Collect and document data and test results in computerized records, preferably using Excel or MinitabAssist the area MPE(s) to ensure that production area processes operate within quality metric targets. Monitor trends in quality performance and aid in the execution of root cause analysis and corrective action plansParticipate in the investigation and purchase of new equipment and tooling.
