Job summary

Louis M Gerson Co Inc in Massachusetts is seeking several hard-working night shift machine operators to lead production lines on a 4‑day work week. Night shifts offered: 6pm–6am or 4pm–2am, with a $3/hour night differential.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude required for operating production equipment.
• Experience running a production line.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate production lines per work instructions.
• Perform quality inspections on finished goods.
• Make equipment adjustments to ensure defect-free output.
• Maintain clean and orderly work area.
• Communicate with Supervisor, Maintenance, and Planning to raise and solve problems quickly.
• Follow lock-out/tag-out procedures and safe machine practices.
• Package finished goods.
• Fill out Quality paperwork.

Job description

Gerson is a leading N95 producer as well as premier manufacturer of: air-purifying respirators, liquid filters for cleaning paints and solvents, tack cloths for removal of surface particulates, chemical cartridges, and melt-blown filter. We are a premier manufacturer with over 50 years of experience in the manufacturing field. Over the next year we anticipate a major growth in sales and production. We are looking for talented individuals who want to grow with us.

We are seeking several hard-working night shift machine operators to work on a variety of process equipment that serve the public. You will lead a team to set up and operate production lines. Our schedule operates on 2 shifts, a day shift and a night shift, Monday through Thursday (4 Day Work Week).There are two Operator positions available.

Night Shift Operators Hours

• 6pm to 6am; and/or
• 4pm to 2am

We offer an additional $3/hour shift differential added to the hourly rate for working the night shift.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Set up, and operate production lines in accordance with work instructions.
• Perform quality inspections on finished goods.
• Make equipment adjustments to ensure defect free output.
• Maintain work area in a clean and orderly condition.
• Communicate with Supervisor, Maintenance, and Planning to ensure problems are raised and solved quickly.
• Follow all established policies, rules and regulations including lock-out tag-out procedures and safe machine practices.
• Package finished goods.
• Fill out Quality paperwork.

REQUIRED SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE

• Mechanical ability
• Prior experience running a production line.
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work well with others
• Must be able to read, write and understand English.
• Ability to work overtime as necessary

PREFERRED SKILLS

• High school diploma or equivalent

NOTE

Position requires continual standing, physical flexibility, and lifting to 50 pounds.
