Job summary

Southeastern Paperboard, Inc. is seeking skilled Machine Technician/Operator and assistants to support manufacturing operations. You will help ensure equipment runs efficiently and produces high-quality products, reporting to the Production Supervisor.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, experience operating manufacturing equipment, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This in-person, full-time position offers 2nd and 3rd shifts with competitive pay.

Qualifications

Previous machine operation experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with HMI software (preferred).
Mechanical troubleshooting experience (preferred).
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Ability to lift 50–75 lbs repeatedly.
Stand, walk, bend, and twist regularly.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate paper coating and/or rewinder machinery
Monitor machine performance and inspect product quality
Maintain clean, organized, and safe production areas
Collaborate with maintenance to improve equipment reliability
Communicate effectively with team members and leadership
Handle and stage paper rolls using computerized systems
Load and unload materials safely
Operate forklifts as needed
Perform routine equipment inspections
Maintain accurate production and quality records

Machine Operator & Assistants 2nd/3rd Shifts

Shift Options & Pay

2nd Shift: 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM, Monday–Friday, $20–$26/hour + $2 shift premium
3rd Shift: 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM, Sunday–Thursday, $20–$26/hour (based on experience)

Position Summary

This role reports directly to the Production Supervisor and plays a critical part in maintaining safety, productivity, and quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, experience operating manufacturing equipment, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate paper coating and/or rewinder machinery
Monitor machine performance and inspect product quality
Maintain clean, organized, and safe production areas

Communicate effectively with team members and leadership

High school diploma or equivalent (required)
