We are seekingExperienced Full-Time Production Machine Operatorsto perform a multitude of functions; create value by understanding the needs of the business while operating and maintaining our equipment to meet production goals & needs, customer satisfaction, focus on safety, and quality & productivity. This position will be responsible for all set up and operation of machines in designated departments. Operators may work with computer-controlled equipment or more mechanically based machines.

Several Responsibilities Include:

  • Operate the equipment of which includes: performing accurate & efficient set-ups, checking for quality of production, and basic troubleshooting to run machines to the optimal level
  • Run material through machine according to company specifications
  • Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor
  • Perform daily clean up; maintain a clean & safe environment; follow all safety rules & regulations, and perform all duties in a safe & efficient manner
  • Follow assigned job duties & complete all work orders as required by production needs; assist other team members/operators
  • Test operation of machines periodically
  • Perform other duties as necessary

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Machine Operator experience preferred; strong knowledge of machines in a manufacturing setting
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment; capable of learning multiple jobs; maintain a high quality of work
  • Candidates must be able to lift 50 pounds; standing and continuous lifting are required
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions including reading a tape measure, blueprints, production schematics
  • At times, employees are required to work overtime and weekends
  • Must have the ability to do basic math and read a tape measure
  • High School diploma or equivalency
  • Pre-employment drug screen will be required

Primary Responsibilities

  • Performing accurate & efficient set-ups
  • Checking for quality of production
  • Basic troubleshooting to run machines to the optimal level
  • Maintain a clean & safe environment
  • Follow all safety rules & regulations
  • Complete all work orders as required by production needs
  • Assist other team members/operators

Education, Experience, and Attributes

  • Manufacturing experience in the corrugated industry preferred
  • Proven production experience preferred
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Capable of learning multiple jobs
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds; standing and continuous lifting are required
  • Must have the ability to do basic math and read a tape measure
  • Highschool diploma or equivalent is required
