Role and Responsibilities

Must be able to work with great concentration and precision. Must be responsible and comply with all safety guidelines. A keen eye for detail. The goal is to produce high-quality furniture parts and materials by milling, gluing, and cutting lumber.

Main duties as a Machine Operator include:

1. Monitoring and maintaining warehouse equipment and machinery
2. Inspecting pulleys, drive belts, guards, or fences on machines to ensure safe operation
3. Examining raw wood for defects and ensuring conformity to size and other specifications
4. Operating machinery and tooling with precision, using measurement tools
5. Maintaining cleanliness of products and equipment in the mill area
6. Feeding stock through mechanisms or conveyors into machines for shaping, boring, mortising, or sanding
7. Applying mechanical skills and good math skills

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Apprenticeship or equivalent experience in related disciplines
