Job summary

LEI Packaging is seeking a Weekend Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. This role is ideal for individuals with strong mechanical aptitude who can operate a variety of advanced machinery and help keep production running smoothly, efficiently, and safely on the weekend shift.

No prior experience required—we train. You will monitor machines, perform basic maintenance, handle materials with forklifts, and ensure safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience operating manufacturing machinery is a plus but not a requirement, we will train.
• Experience with factory safety standards, materials handling (including forklift operation), assembly line processes, and packaging procedures a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting machinery issues.
• Prior warehouse experience or manufacturing facility background is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate a state of the art pulp molding machine.
• Monitor machine performance throughout the shift, troubleshoot issues promptly, and perform routine maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Handle materials safely using forklifts and other materials handling equipment; assist with fabrication and packaging as needed.
• Follow safety protocols while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
• Document production data accurately and communicate any operational concerns or machine issues to supervisors.
