Job summary

Loos & Co. Inc. in Pomfret, CT is hiring Machine Operators across multiple production departments and shifts to support the manufacture of wire and cable products. You will set up, operate, and monitor production machinery while following work orders and safety procedures.

We welcome candidates with manufacturing interest; previous experience is helpful but not required as training is available. Shift options include 1st, 2nd, and 3rd with competitive starting pay and differential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Manufacturing or machine operation experience is a plus, but not required.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and production specifications.
• Basic math and data-entry skills.
• Ability to learn how to use measuring tools and production equipment.
• Dependable attendance and ability to work your scheduled shift.
• Strong attention to safety, quality, and productivity.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, monitor, and adjust production machinery.
• Follow work orders, specifications, and established work instructions.
• Load, unload, and handle materials throughout the production process.
• Inspect finished and in-process products for quality.
• Use measuring tools as required.
• Monitor equipment and report issues to supervision or maintenance.
• Complete production records and enter data into company systems.
• Perform basic cleaning and preventative maintenance.
• Follow safety procedures and wear PPE.
• Collaborate with supervisors, maintenance, quality, and other production employees.
• Participate in training and continuous improvement activities.
• Perform other production-related duties as assigned.
