Job description

Machine Operator Job Duties:

The Machine Operator will work in a factory setting on manual and CNC machine tools. In this role, they will gain an understanding of how to read blueprints, preset tooling, set up machines, perform and record quality inspection checks among other duties through practical application.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Read and interpret blueprints
• Use standard shop measuring equipment
• Record information/data on route sheet & inspection sheets
• Learn to select proper tooling
• Position tools in holders
• Load machines properly
• Monitor the production run including performing in-process inspections by using standard measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, pin gages, comparators, and various other measuring equipment while recording data.
• Follow route sheets and handle parts from one machine operation to the next including finishing parts by deburring, tumbling, preparing, and packaging product for sub-contracting operations.
• All other duties as assigned
