Job summary

CNC Manufacturing in Coatesville, PA is seeking a CNC Machine Operator for first shift in our Swiss Department. Training will be provided; base hourly wage depends on experience. Beginner $20-$25/hr, Intermediate $26-$28/hr.

Qualifications

• Entry level to intermediate candidate with 0–3 years of machine shop experience.
• Strong mechanical background and willingness to learn the trade.
• Ability to read blueprints and job instructions.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and job instructions.
• Run programmed jobs with offsets and adjustments as needed.
• Modify tooling for job use and maintain machine setup.
• Understand safe positions and coordinate systems (X/Y/C/B).
• Perform SPC measurements and basic maintenance on machine/fixtures.
• Maintain a clean, safe, ISO-compliant work area and communicate effectively.

Job description

CNC Manufacturing is an industry leading expert in the precision machining of performance critical parts in diverse industries including defense and aerospace. The 37,000 sq. ft. climate-controlled facility in Coatesville, PA features some of the industry’s most technologically advanced machining and quality control equipment. CNC Manufacturing celebrates the diversity and expertise of its team members and proudly employs several armed services veterans.

We currently have a first shift opening in our Swiss Department. We are looking for an entry level to intermediate candidate with zero to three years of machine shop experience. If you have a strong mechanical background, a willingness to learn the trade, and attention to detail - you owe it to yourself to apply!

Training will be provided. Base hourly wage depends on experience and skill level.

• Beginner - $20-$25/hr.
• Intermediate - $26-28/hr.

A CNC Machine Operator will know or be taught:

• Read and understand blueprints and job instructions
• Understand raw stock identification and preparation
• Run jobs as programmed with the ability to change/adjust machine offsets
• Modify tooling for job use
• Understand safe positions, absolute-machine-relative coordinates
• Understand X+/-, Y+/-, C+/- and B+/-
• Perform SPC (Statistical Process Control) measurements
• Perform basic maintenance on machine and fixtures
• Maintain a clean, organized, & safe work area; comply with all Safety and ISO standards
• Communicate well, follow instructions, and be responsible for personal performance
• Other Level 2 operator duties as required
