Job summary

Pro-Active Engineering in Sun Prairie, WI is seeking individuals for Surface Mount (SMT) operations. You will load and run the Surface Mount Placement machine (Pick and Place) to manufacture PCB assemblies on 1st or 2nd shift.

The role requires following production documents, prepping boards, masking, gluing, loading feeders, and verifying BOM accuracy. Experience with Mydata, Mycronic, and ASM software is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required or equivalent.
• Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or related field preferred.
• Experience with Mydata, Mycronic, and ASM software is preferred.
• Knowledge of electronic components and equipment is required.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow production documents to understand the project.
• Prep boards, mask, glue, and program screen-printer.
• Load feeders and magazines to maximize machine efficiency.
• Verify component and part number accuracy against the BOM.
• Evaluate components for conformance and quantity.
• Perform preventative and general maintenance on machines.
• Maintain accurate counts at the workstation while inspecting for defects.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: We have immediate openings for individuals with familiarity with Surface Mount (SMT) Operations. These positions load and/or run the Surface Mount Placement machine (Pick and Place) to manufacture printed circuit board assemblies.

Opportunities available on 1st and 2nd shift. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Read and follow production documents to fully understand the project at hand.

• Verify component and manufacturing part number accuracy against B.O.M.
• Evaluate components for conformance and sufficient quantity.
• Perform preventative and general maintenance on machines.
• Keep an accurate count of product at your workstation while inspecting every piece for defects.
