An established industry player is seeking a dedicated individual to support the startup of a new production line in Lincolnton, NC. This role involves training new associates, operating and maintaining multiple machines, and ensuring adherence to quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in brazing processes, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work flexibly across shifts. •Support the startup and implementation of the coating operation of a new production line in the existing Lincolnton, NC facility.
•During startup, learn firsthand the process and support the development of local work instructions and standards. This position will require extended overseas travel for training.
•Actively communicate with related departments (Planning, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, etc.).
•Train and monitor new production associates working on the specified shift and provide timely and effective feedback when required.
•Will be responsible for loading/unloading, operating, adjusting, changing over, and maintaining multiple machines, conducting 5S, and aiding in troubleshooting. Responsible for reaching daily targets and escalating in case of deviations.
Qualifications
•High School Diploma or GED, Technical or Vocational Schooling a plus.
•3 to 5 years of previous experience in Brazing Processes (or similar).
•Computer skills including Microsoft Office (e.g., Outlook, Excel, Word).
•Excellent communication skills - spoken, written, interpersonal.
•Ability to learn and understand new processes, machines, and technology.
•Flexibility to work in different shifts and overtime.
•Ability to stand and be mobile for 8 hours.
•Proper hand dexterity.
•Ability to read and follow instructions.
•Ability to read and prepare orders.
•Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
•Math skills appropriate to a machining environment.
•Able to read product prints and check products to match.
•Proficient in the use of measuring devices.
•Setup machines using basic hand tools and measuring devices.
•Identify and assess common problems with machines and troubleshoot.
•Read and follow standard operating procedures.
•Understand and follow procedures pertaining to machine cleanliness and tool organization.
