Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Two or more years of experience operating metal slitting equipment or similar manufacturing machinery.
• Ability to read work orders, blueprints, and production specifications.
• Experience using tape measures, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a physically demanding manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail, dependability, and commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate metal slitting equipment according to work orders and production schedules.
• Thread material through the slitting line and adjust knives, spacers, guides, and tension settings for accurate processing.
• Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain product quality and production efficiency.
• Inspect finished coils for width, thickness, edge quality, burrs, camber, and surface defects.
• Complete coil changeovers and ensure finished products are properly packaged and labeled.
• Record production data, scrap, downtime, and quality inspection results.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance, cleaning, and lubrication.
• Follow all company safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and PPE requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work closely with production, quality, maintenance, and shipping teams to meet customer expectations.

What You'll Do
