Machine Operator- Set UP / Quality Control

This role is responsible for setting up and operating press brake machines to bend, form, and shape sheet metal according to engineering drawings and specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience with machine setup, reading blueprints, and quality inspection of finished parts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to be trained as necessary
• Ability to read and write numbers and words
• Perform basic mathematics
• Trained in the use of measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, tape measures)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Familiarity with CNC press brakes (Amada, Trumpf, Accurpress, or similar) is a plus
• Good problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.

Position Responsibilities:

• Follow all company safety guidelines and procedures.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
• Aware and knowledgeable of Company Quality Policy
• Set up and prepare press brake machines based on job specifications and blueprints.
• Select, install, and align appropriate tooling (dies, punches, back gauges, etc.)
• Adjust machine settings such as bend angles, material thickness, and tolerances.
• Perform test runs and first-article inspections to verify accuracy of setup.
• Operate the press brake machine safely and efficiently.
• Inspect completed parts to ensure conformance to specifications using calipers, gauges, and other measuring tools.
• Troubleshoot setup issues and make necessary adjustments.
• Maintain equipment, tools, and work area in a clean and safe condition.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve processes and efficiency.

Position Authorities:

• Has the authority to qualify their work based upon in-process inspection results
• Has the authority to stop or refuse any material of poor or suspect quality
• Has the authority to stop production if an unsafe condition exists

$19-26/hour DOE

1st 5:00am-3:30pm

2nd 4:00pm-2:30am
