Job summary

Elite Staffing, Inc. seeks a Machine Operator/Reclaim Operator in Jerome, ID to operate reclaim lines and follow safety and quality procedures. The role includes completing production paperwork, assisting in extrusion/recycle, and performing minor repairs as needed.

Shifts are 12 hours with day/night rotating schedules. Starting pay is $18.00 per hour; candidates must be 18+ and able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Demonstrated mechanical/analytical ability preferred.
• Basic computer (Microsoft Office) and math skills required.
• Satisfactorily complete training courses as determined by management.

Responsibilities

• Understand and follow safety procedures/policies.
• Operate reclaim machines following SOPs, quality procedures, and training to meet productivity targets.
• Fill out daily production paperwork including production and downtime.
• Assist in extrusion/recycle when necessary.
• Dump proper RPP in silo(s); keep area clean and organized.
• Assist in plant cleanup and move rolls/load scrap.
• Perform quality checks and document results; monitor materials for contamination.

Job description

Machine Operator/Reclaim Operator

This position is responsible for operating recycle lines and properly filling out paperwork, production schedule, set-up instructions, operating procedures, and quality specifications, etc. This position has multiple levels with advancement based on demonstrated operator knowledge and ability/department developed criteria.

Responsibilities:

• Understand and follow safety procedures/policies
• Operate reclaim machines in accordance with standard operating procedures, quality procedures, and training to meet or exceed productivity requirements
• Follow direction and work in a safe manner following all company policies and procedures
• Properly fill out daily production paperwork including production and downtime
• Assist in extrusion/recycle when necessary
• Required to dump proper RPP in silo(s) on daily basis and keep entire area in a clean and organized fashion
• Assist in plant cleanup where and when necessary to include moving rolls and loading scrap
• Perform quality checks of material being produced and complete related documentation; monitor materials to ensure those contaminated by foreign materials do not enter reclaim machines
• Monitor reclaim machines constantly to ensure dough ball (polyfill) does not form and cause downtime
• Diagnose and complete minor repairs
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Operate forklift as needed
• Other duties as assigned
