Job summary

GreenWood, Inc. is seeking a Machine Operator to ensure proper operation of production line machines, start-up and monitor equipment, report malfunctions, and perform routine adjustments.

The role includes manual packing, material handling, documentation, and quality inspections to meet specifications. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and at least 6 months of manufacturing experience, with strong communication, time management, and a professional demeanor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 6 months manufacturing/industrial experience.
• Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures; extensive knowledge/experience preferred.
• Strong work ethic with a proven ability to support a positive team environment.
• Excellent attention to detail, a focus on accuracy, and a sense of urgency.
• Able to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
• Capable of standing/sitting/walking 8 to 10 hrs per day; able to lift up to 20 pounds frequently.
• Ability to follow instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the function of the job.
• Ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates machine following established procedures and policies.
• Ensures machinery operates efficiently and effectively to meet productivity requirements.
• Loads, transports, and unloads materials, tools, equipment, and supplies as needed.
• Inspects material and finished goods for defects.
• Uses hand trucks, forklifts, pallet jack, hoists, conveyors, or handling equipment to move material.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work environment and completes housekeeping tasks.
• Follows all safety policies and procedures.
• Performs daily inspections prior to beginning operations.
• Manages paperwork and records and prepares documentation when needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
