Job summary

Winpak Portion Packaging in Chicago Heights, IL is seeking a Machine Operator with extrusion and thermoforming experience to join the Production Team.

You will set up and operate packaging machinery, calibrate and adjust settings, inspect parts with precision tools, and keep records while ensuring safety and production targets are met.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Set up machines (calibration, cleaning) to start a production cycle.
• Control and adjust machine settings (e.g., speed) to ensure optimal production.
• Feed raw materials or parts into semi-automated machines.
• Inspect parts using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
• Test the operation of machines periodically and make adjustments as needed.
• Troubleshoot and fix issues during the shift to maintain machine operations.
• Keep detailed records of approved and defective units or final products.
