Summary

Operate plant machinery as directed, adhering to all safety policies to produce a high-quality product.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Set stops or guides to specific lengths as indicated by scale, rule, or templates.
• Observe machine operation for defects or malfunctions.
• Review products for quality and consistency.
• Perform routine machine maintenance.
• Assist other operators with setup and other tasks to meet deadlines.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the work area.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Preferred: Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, or relevant experience.
• Experience with Besser V-3 or Columbia Block Machine Model 1600/16.
• Ability to interpret safety and operational documents.
• Self-starter with ability to work independently.
• Basic math skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Accurate and detail-oriented.

Physical Requirements

• Stand for extended periods.
• Lifting up to 40 lbs, or 50 lbs with assistance.
• Flexible schedule.
