Job summary

lesueurinc is seeking candidates for 1st, 2nd, and weekend shifts to operate perm mold equipment, inspect castings, and assist in pour operations. Training will cover all aspects of perm mold machines and peripherals under supervision.

Minimum education includes reading and understanding English work instructions; trade school preferred. Candidates should have some computer use, independent decision-making, and 1+ years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Some trade school or equivalent preferred.
• One or more years of relevant work experience.
• Effective computer experience and basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate Perm Mold equipment safely and efficiently to maintain production flow and quality.
• Inspect aluminum castings against specifications and follow work instructions.
• May pour molten metal as required.
• Follow PPE and safety protocols in a non-climate controlled environment.

Job description

1st shift 6am - 2:30 pm Monday - Friday with OT Saturday starting July 17

2nd shift 2pm - 10:30pm Monday - Friday with OT Saturday starting July 17

Weekend shift - Sunday, Friday, Saturday 5am - 5:30pm (Work a combination of 36 hours (labor and PTO) and get paid for 40 hours)

Under supervision, operate Perm Mold equipment in a safe and effective manner ensuring optimal production flow and quality product while learning all aspects of perm mold including operation, programming of various perm mold machines and other peripheral equipment.

Inspect aluminum castings and parts, ensuring they meet the specifications according to specific work instructions.

May pour molten metal at times.

Minimum Education: Reading and understanding English language work instructions and some computer use

Preferred Education: Some trade school or equivalent

Minimum Skills/Experience: Effective computer experience, Independent decision-making, and effective self-management. One or more years of relevant work experience

Preferred Skills/Experience: One to three or more years of relevant experience. Demonstrated mechanical aptitude, plus Strong mechanical aptitude and proven machine operations and/or mechanical aptitude, effective computer use, basic Math skills, independent decision-making, and effective self-management.

Functional Requirements

Consistently able to:

• Manually lift and move product and materials up to 50 lbs. through regular physical exertion, including but not limited to reach forward, reach overhead, lift, carry, crouch, and bend
• Power grip and wrist turn, including the use of hand tools and/or steering fork truck
• Walk, sit, or stand for up to 12 hours with intermittent breaks
• Push/pull up to 100 lbs.
• See, inspect, handle and evaluate product quality
• Read and understand written English language work instructions
• Work in non-climate controlled environments, including hot and humid conditions
• Climb ladders and stairs of varying heights
• Wear task-based Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided by LSI
