Job summary

Cenveo in Smyrna, GA is hiring for Machine Operators (Packers) on the 3rd shift (11pm–7am). This full-time role requires loading paper into envelope folding machines, inspecting quality, and packing finished products in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, at least 6 months in a production setting, basic math and measurement skills, and good verbal/written communication. Ability to stand long hours and lift up to 55 pounds is necessary.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Load paper into automatic hand-fed or web envelope folding machines and pack finished product in a team environment.
• Inspect envelopes, label cartons, report variances and check production orders to determine daily needs.
• May perform rework on finished product.
• Keep a clean, safe work area during and after shift.
• Other duties as assigned.

• $17-18/hr depending on experience + $1.35/hr 3rd shift premium
• Schedule is Mon-Fri with Saturdays required during busy season/business needs

Machine Packer Responsibilities & Daily Duties

• Load paper on to automatic hand-fed or web envelope folding machines and pack the finished product in a team environment.
• Inspect quality of envelopes, labels cartons, reports variances to key personnel and checks current production orders/schedules to determine daily production requirements.
• May be required to do rework on finished product.
• Cleans up work area during and at the end of shift.
• Other duties as assigned/required.

Machine Packer Requirements & Qualifications

• The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months of relevant work experience in a production environment.
• Quality inspection skills and ability to measure/read a ruler.
• Basic math skills and the ability to perform in a high volume work environment.

Machine Packer Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Ability to keep up with a high-speed delivery output in a standing position for a full shift.
• Mental alertness to stop equipment when jam occurs.
• Ability to step up/reach overhead/manually feed paper into machine.
• Ability to lift up to 55 pounds.
• Manual dexterity required to grasp objects; exposure to arm and wrist fatigue.
• Exposure to noise; must wear hearing protection and safety shoes.
