C&B Piping, LLC is seeking a skilled Machine Operator for our Amherst, Virginia plant. You will operate production equipment, perform quality inspections, and support multiple fabrication processes while maintaining safety and efficiency.

The role requires strong attention to detail, ability to read tapes, and adherence to OSHA regulations. Forklift certification is a plus; the position is on-site with opportunities for growth and cross-training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in a heavy machinery environment is a plus.
• Ability to read a tape measure, documentation, and attentive to details.
• Strong safety awareness for yourself and others, no exceptions.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts and/or heavy equipment - Certification is a plus.
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Distribution, fabrication, manufacturing, and/or construction experience a plus.

Responsabilités

• Operate and support production processes along with following all standardized work equipment.
• Perform quality checks and Inspection as needed.
• Problem solving, continuous improvement, learning to recognize malfunctions before they malfunction!
• Understanding the correct way to handle materials in your specific area. (Fabrication, Finishing, Saw, Blast, Welding, etc.)
• Reading a tape measure accurately. Each department and multiple roles must be able to read a measuring tape.
• Proper PPE, equipment and product handling, comply with all company policies, and with all OSHA Safety regulations.
• Good housekeeping and perform 5S activities.
• Perform other assigned duties as deemed necessary or appropriate.
