Job summary

ProAmpac Holdings, Inc. is hiring at our White House, TN facility for a machine operator. This essential role offers rotating 12-hour shifts (7pm-7am or 7am-7pm) and a safety-focused, fast-paced environment.

Previous machine operating experience, ability to read measuring tools, and strong mechanical aptitude are required. You'll maintain machine operation, perform set-ups, adjust equipment, and ensure quality during bag production.

Qualifications

• High School GED or Diploma required.
• Two years minimum of machine operating experience.
• Ability to read measuring tools and perform basic calibration.
• Must complete Safety Orientation and OSHA Standards Training.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the overall machine operation.
• Verify scheduled production orders prior to set-up.
• Perform machine set-ups and adjustments as required.
• Unwrap, trim, and prepare rolls for shafting.
• Maintain glue levels and prep for next order.
• Assist with quality checks and 30-minute bag teardowns.
• Report substandard materials or needed repairs.

Schedule:

• Able to work Rotating Schedule (2-2-3)/ 12hr Nights 7pm-7am
• Able to work Rotating Schedule (2-2-3)/ 12hr Days 7am-7pm

This is NOT a push button role. Previous machine operating experience is REQUIRED; machine set-up, calibration and technical troubleshooting is a MUST.

Pay range up to $26hr. (pending experience)

• Maintains the overall machine operation
• Verifies each scheduled production order prior to starting set-up
• Orders components based on shop order requirements
• Performs all machine set-ups and adjustments as required
• Unwraps, trims, and prepares rolls for shafting
• Maintains adequate level of glue in pans, drums, or hot melt applicator hopper
• Makes all possible preparations for next scheduled order
• Works toward maintenance and cleanliness of machine and adjacent area as required
• Performs First Article of Inspection at bag set-ups; perform 30-minute bag teardowns and other quality procedures (visual checks, adjustments, etc.) needed to maintain bag quality
• Informs management of any substandard materials or any apparent mechanical or electrical repairs needed

Job Requirements

• High School GED or Diploma
• Associate’s Degree from an accredited college preferred
• Two years minimum of machine operating experience in a related industry
• Mechanically inclined
• Ability to read measuring tools
• Must complete Safety Orientation, Departmental Safety Training and OSHA Standards Training
• Work experience with computers and other business equipment

This position requires the annual completion of Hazardous Waste Management training – provided by ProAmpac
