PastryStar in Laurel, MD is hiring a Production Associate (Powder Mixer) to support the manufacturing of high-quality bakery ingredients. You will ensure accurate ingredient addition, operate the mixer, and follow strict food-safety and regulatory guidelines.

Ideal candidates bring experience in food production, strong math skills for measurements, and a proactive attitude to learn and follow established processes in a fast-paced facility.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a food production environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the mixer machine and ensure accurate ingredients are added to mixture.
• Manage the operation of the machine to which you are assigned.
• Ensure all ingredients are measured before adding to mixer.
• Package finished products according to company standards.
• Adhere to FDA regulations and food safety protocols throughout the production process.
• Utilize basic math, reading, and writing skills for measurements and calculations.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas.
• Fabricate products following established procedures.
• Implement HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) principles.
• Comply with CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) guidelines.
• Abide by all relevant OSHA guidelines and company safety protocols.

About Us: PastryStar is located in Laurel, MD. Since 1986, the company has been manufacturing high quality, clean-label bakery ingredients (such as powder mixes, baking fruit jams, and fillings). Our core customers are industrial bakeries, in-store bakeries, and cruise lines.

About the role

As a Production Associate (Powder Mixer), you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process within our food production facility. You will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet quality standards and adhere to FDA regulations and food safety guidelines. This position requires attention to detail, knowledge of basic math, and a strong understanding of food industry practices.
