Job summary

Spectrum Industries, Inc. is seeking associates to operate a variety of conventional production machines at our Chippewa Falls facility. You will perform setup, load materials, monitor tooling, and verify finished parts to spec on 2nd shift (Mon-Thu, 4:00pm–2:00am) with a 7.5% shift differential.

Required is a high school diploma or equivalent; 6–12 months of related work preferred. Comprehensive benefits include PTO, holidays, health and retirement options, and safety shoe reimbursement.

• Six months to one year of related work experience (preferred).
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Operates a variety of conventional production machines and equipment.
• Mounts, aligns, and secures tools and workpieces with hand tools and precision instruments.
• Measures dimensions and verifies conformance to specifications using precision instruments.
• Monitors machine feed and speed, adjusts tools, and stops machines for setup or changes as needed.
• Loads and unloads pieces, records time and job functions on daily sheets.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Role Overview & Responsibilities

Spectrum Industries, Inc. is looking for new team members to operate a variety of multiple conventional, production machines, and/ or equipment at specified machining centers to fabricate sheet metal or metal tubing products, parts, and components.

• Performs minor setup and adjustment functions on the machine
• Mounts, installs, aligns, and secures tools, attachments, fixtures, and work pieces on machines, using hand tools and precision measuring instruments
• Measures dimensions of finished work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures
• Adjusts machine feed and speed, changes cutting tools, or adjusts machine controls when automatic programming is faulty or if the machines malfunction
• Stops machines to remove finished work pieces, or to change tooling, setup, or work piece placement
• Manually lifts work pieces to machines, or with the assistance of a lifting mechanism to load and unload machinery
• Verifies conformance of finished work pieces to specifications
• Records and submits accurate work time and job functions on daily time documents and routing sheets
• Other duties as assigned
