Job summary

Spectrum Industries, Inc. is seeking team members for 1st shift to operate several production machines at our facilities in Wisconsin. The role includes performing minor setups, mounting tools and fixtures, measuring parts for conformance, and adjusting machine settings as needed.

You will load and unload pieces, record time and routing data, and help with additional duties as assigned. We value candidates with a high school diploma or equivalent and 6 months to 1 year of related experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required or preferred.
• Six months to one year of related work experience is preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of conventional production machines at machining centers.
• Perform minor setup and adjustments, mount tools and fixtures.
• Measure finished parts for conformance using precision tools.
• Adjust feeds, speeds and tooling as needed and respond to machine issues.
• Load/unload parts safely and document time and routing details.
• Maintain quality records and assist with other duties as assigned.

1st Shift: Monday - Thursday

6:00am - 4:00pm

Role Overview & Responsibilities

Spectrum Industries, Inc. is looking for new team members to operate a variety of multiple conventional, production machines, and/ or equipment at specified machining centers to fabricate wood or laminated panel products, parts and components .

• Performs minor setup and adjustment functions on the machine
• Mounts, installs, aligns, and secures tools, attachments, fixtures, and work pieces on machines, using hand tools and precision measuring instruments
• Measures dimensions of finished work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures
• Adjusts machine feed and speed, changes cutting tools, or adjusts machine controls when automatic programming is faulty or if the machines malfunction
• Stops machines to remove finished work pieces, or to change tooling, setup, or work piece placement
• Manually lifts work pieces to machines, or with the assistance of a lifting mechanism to load and unload machinery
• Verifies conformance of finished work pieces to specifications
• Records and submits accurate work time and job functions on daily time documents and routing sheets
• Other duties as assigned
