Job summary

Serta Simmons Bedding in Puyallup, WA is hiring for a manufacturing role on our production line. You will move panels, set up machines, sew flanges, apply labels, and monitor quality as part of a fast-paced team.

Qualifications

• Must be able to comprehend and follow work instructions, loading schedules and production tickets.
• Must understand and follow verbal instructions; communicate clearly with coworkers and management.

Responsibilities

• Push cart of panels to machine and maintain zone integrity.
• Position panel with flange under sewing machine foot.
• Check ticket for sizing and measure panel.
• Activate machine and sew flange to panel and overcast edge in one operation.
• Insert and sew in legal label and production ticket on every other panel; mark IDs on tickets.
• Add thread, replace needles, oil machine, fix thread breaks; tidy scrap as needed.
• Observe stitching to detect defects and repair; inspect panels before and after sewing.
• Notify supervisor when defects are caused by machine malfunction.
• Maintain cleanliness of work area.
