Machine Operator - Material Handler: 2nd Shift

Join us as a Machine Operator - Material Handler: 2nd Shift at Milliken & Company.

Position Summary: The Plant Material Handlers are responsible for managing the flow and staging of materials throughout the plant to ensure smooth manufacturing operations. They also maintain housekeeping and safety standards, keep aisles clear, and collaborate with planning and inventory control to manage material levels and allocation.

Key Responsibilities

1. Follow the schedule to meet production demands.
2. Set up materials, staging, and machinery according to specifications.
3. Clean material areas, aisles, storage, and walkways to ensure safety and cleanliness.
4. Notify team leads and management about issues or improvements related to storage, delivery, and equipment.
5. Prepare accurate work documentation in compliance with policies and regulations.
6. Adhere to safety and quality guidelines, including PPE and training requirements.
7. Report safety concerns to team leads, management, and maintenance.
8. Participate in process improvements, new product activities, and quality investigations.
9. Complete assigned projects and tasks efficiently.
10. Advise the Production Manager on operational issues and improvements.
11. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Required

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Manufacturing experience, preferably in regulated industries like healthcare or food and beverage.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math at an 8th-grade level.
• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to visually distinguish differences in product color, size, or pattern.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
• Willingness to embody Milliken's core values.
