Machine Operator (Manufacturing/Retail Customization)

The Machine Operator is responsible for the setup, calibration, and operation of machine equipment in a manufacturing environment focused on retail customization. The role involves working from verbal or written instructions, diagrams, or models, inspecting machining operations and finished products against specifications using precision measuring tools, and determining and correcting minor machine malfunctions. Routine maintenance and cleaning are also required, along with packing, wrapping, securing, labeling, and shipping tasks.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Operate embroidery machines and Direct to Garment (DTG) machines.
  • Operate small machines such as merrowing, laminating, and clicking.
  • Perform routine maintenance including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts to ensure optimal machine performance and prevent breakdowns.
  • Inspect completed products and materials to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Follow all safety protocols and safe work practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • At least 1 year of experience operating small machinery in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience performing routine maintenance and simple repairs on small machinery is preferred.
  • Experience with industrial sewing machines and DTG machines is preferred.
  • Close visual acuity to rethread sewing needles, inspect products, materials, and machinery for accuracy, quality, and defects.
  • Finger dexterity to manipulate small objects and materials.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift fabric rolls weighing up to 50 lbs, up to 3 times per day.

Hourly Pay Range: $17.00 - $18.00 (depending on experience)
