Job description

Machine Operator (Manufacturing/Retail Customization)

The Machine Operator is responsible for the setup, calibration, and operation of machine equipment in a manufacturing environment focused on retail customization. They work from verbal or written instructions, diagrams, or models, inspect machining operations and finished products against specifications using precision measuring tools, determine and correct minor machine malfunctions, and perform routine maintenance and cleaning. The role may also include packing, wrapping, securing, labeling, and shipping.

Essential Job Functions:
  1. Operate embroidery machines and Direct to Garment machines.
  2. Operate small machines such as merrowing, laminating, and clicking.
  3. Perform routine maintenance such as light cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns.
  4. Inspect completed products and materials to ensure quality standards are met.
  5. Follow all safety protocols and safe work practices.
  6. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • At least 1 year of experience operating small machinery in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience performing routine maintenance and simple repairs on small machinery is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with industrial sewing machines and DTG machines is strongly preferred.
  • Close visual acuity to rethread sewing needles, inspect products, materials, and machinery for accuracy, quality, and defects.
  • Finger dexterity to manipulate small objects and materials.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift a roll of fabric up to 50 lbs., up to 3 times a day.

Hourly pay range: $17.00 - $18.00, depending on experience.
