Job summary

Matthews International is seeking a motivated factory operator to operate production equipment in an industrial setting. The role involves handling machinery, hand and power tools, and following training to advance your career.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work overtime as necessary.

Job description

Position Summary

Job Responsibilities
  • Working with production equipment in an industrial environment.
  • Working with machinery, hand and power tools in a fast paced work environment.
  • Working with an organization that provides the necessary training to complete the job and advance your career.
Additional Responsibilities
  • You will be working with production supervisors and operating various machinery to meet production needs.
  • Determining parts to be manufactured based upon orders and stock.
  • Observe and maintain machinery operation and identifying and defects or malfunctions.
  • Multi-tasking and cross training in other departments and machines.
Qualifications / Requirements
  • Previous Machine operation experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
  • Possess a mechanical aptitude; ability to use a large variety of hand tools and basic knowledge of power tools, forklifts, welding equipment, and cutting torch.
  • Ability to work overtime as necessary.

  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 50+ pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
