Job summary

Kondex Corporation is seeking a Machine Operator to join the Sections department in Wisconsin. The current opening is on the 2nd shift with a $3.00 per hour shift premium. Training will likely occur on the 1st shift, with hours from 6:00 am to 2:00 pm, Monday to Friday.

Hours may fluctuate based on customer requirements and training needs. Responsibilities include loading/unloading parts, operating multiple machines, reading prints, following settings, and performing 5S and basic maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions, prints, and inspection criteria.
• Ability to learn how to operate more complex equipment.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Prior manufacturing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload parts from machines while achieving expected rates.
• Operate basic machines such as shot blaster, tumble blaster, media blaster, tempering oven, robotic stacker, band saw, straightening press.
• Read prints and routings.
• Follow established machine settings and parameters.
• Perform lock-out tag-out on equipment.
• Perform basic inspections using hand-held measuring devices.
• Operate lift devices such as boom crane and hand jack.
• May learn to operate multiple advanced machines for advancement.
• May learn set-ups by assisting Operator I.
• Close orders in computer system.
• Perform 5S activities, including limited preventative maintenance on equipment.
• May assist in training other operators in the department.

Current 2nd shift hours: Monday - Friday 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm.

Training will likely occur on 1st shift, Monday - Friday 6:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Hours can fluctuate depending on customer requirements and training needs.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Load and unload parts from machines while achieving expected rates, which could include one or more advanced machines.
• Operate basic machines such as shot blaster, tumble blaster, media blaster, tempering oven, robotic stacker, band saw, straightening press, etc. These machines do not have progressions to Machine Operator I.
• Read prints and routings.
• Follow established machine settings and parameters.
• Perform lock-out tag-out on equipment.
• Perform basic inspections using hand-held measuring devices.
• Operate lift devices such as boom crane and hand jack.
• May learn to operate multiple advanced machines in the area to prepare for advancement.
• May learn set‑ups by assisting Operator I.
• Close orders in computer system.
• Perform 5S activities, including limited preventative maintenance on equipment.
• May assist in training other operators within the department.
