Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an industrial operator to manage filling and packaging equipment on the Birmingham, AL production line. You will perform preventive maintenance, adjust machine functions, and conduct minor repairs while ensuring accurate production records and compliance with food-safety standards.

The role includes training colleagues, sanitizing line equipment, and following SQF, GMP, FSMA, and preventive controls.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Thorough knowledge of filling and packaging equipment.
• Good mechanical ability.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical abnormalities.
• Ability to set up and maintain machinery and make routine adjustments.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues in the HMI.
• Ability to train and evaluate trainees.
• Ability to follow food safety policies, SQF code, GMPs, FSMA, and preventive controls.
• Ability to follow safety requirements and wear required PPE.

Responsibilities

• Sanitize filling-line equipment, operate C.I.P. circuits, and mix chemicals in correct proportions.
• Follow food safety policies, procedures, and regulatory criteria, including SQF, GMPs, FSMA, and preventive controls.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
