The Lamination Operator is responsible for running the lamination presses, which fuse collated books into a single sheet using heat and pressure.

Hourly rate - $20.75

Shift differential - $3.11

Total hourly rate - $23.86

Schedule: Friday-Sunday, 4AM-4:30PM

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret shop floor routers, workmanship manuals, and applicable specifications.
• Load sheets properly into lamination books, check for mag tape registration, and remove nonconforming material for rework or destruction.
• Clean plates as necessary to prevent sheet contamination and perform routine maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1-3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and understand simple instructions (written and verbal) in English, write simple reports, and present information effectively in one-on-one and small group settings.
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, and ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
• Security and safety conscious.
• Dependable with good attendance, punctuality, and cooperation.
• Ability to stand for long periods without sitting.
• Elementary English communication skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Standing, walking, bending, stooping, twisting, lifting up to 70 lbs., pushing up to 100 lbs. repeatedly.
• Noise environment requiring ear protection.
• Good eyesight, hand/eye coordination, and color vision for quality and safety.
• Use of hands/fingers for precision tasks.
• Dealing with fine details, mentally and physically tiring.
• Working with rapidly moving machinery requiring quick adjustments.
• Shift work with possible overtime to meet deadlines.
