The Hot Stamp Machine Operator works in a clean, temperature-controlled environment to operate and maintain Hot Stamp equipment under the direction of the Hot Stamp Lead. The role ensures the production and timely delivery of high-quality plastic secured chip cards.

Hourly rate - $20.75

Shift differential - $3.11

Total hourly rate - $23.86

Schedule: Friday-Sunday, 4:00am-4:00pm

Responsibilities

• Reads and interprets the shop floor router, workmanship manual, and applicable specifications
• Loads sheets properly into the machine and removes nonconforming material for rework or destruction
• Cleans equipment as necessary to avoid contamination or as routine maintenance

Qualifications

• Previous machine operating experience; at least one year
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic skills required to operate technical machinery, including using a caliper and other hand tools
• Basic computer skills, including interfacing with a PC to input/output data and load/unload programs
• Ability to read, understand, and follow simple instructions (written and verbal); capable of writing simple reports and presenting information effectively in small groups
• Applying common sense to carry out instructions and solve problems involving multiple variables
• Keen attention to detail, including distinguishing colors
• Elementary English communication skills
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations and compute rates, ratios, and percentages
• Willingness to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods

Physical Requirements:

• Standing, walking, bending, stooping, twisting, and lifting up to 50 lbs. regularly
• Work environment may be noisy, requiring ear protection
• Good eyesight, hand/eye coordination, and normal color vision
• Use of hands and fingers to operate precision and semi-precision tools and equipment
• Dealing with fine detail, which can be mentally and physically tiring
• Quick adjustments to rapidly moving machinery to minimize waste and meet deadlines
• Shifts may include overtime to meet production goals
