Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is looking for a dedicated production operator for a full-time role in Roanoke, VA. You will prepare machines, oversee daily operation, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in a manufacturing environment.

You will follow PPE requirements, participate in audits, and perform routine equipment checks, stage and weigh ingredients, and safely operate processing equipment and a forklift as needed. This position requires reliability and physical stamina.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs regularly.
• Ability to stand on feet for long periods and climb stairs.
• Strong teamwork and reliable attendance required.
• Good basic arithmetic skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
• HACCP certification or ServSafe training a plus.
• Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment with varied temperatures.

The Position- FULL TIME- MON-FRI(7:00 AM-4:00 PM)- Saturdays (TBD)

Principal Duties/ Major Responsibilities:

• Prepares machine for the start of production and oversees daily operation in compliance with safe operating procedures.
• Follow all required work safe practices.
• This would include wearing all required PPE in designated areas, confined space safety, fall restraints, etc.
• Adhere to food safety and all quality requirements by committing to meet all pertinent regulatory, customer, and SQF requirements and assist in all internal/external audits
• Stage and weigh ingredients to be processed
• Process ingredients
• Safely operate process equipment machinery
• Safely operate a forklift
• Document stages of processing
• Perform daily equipment checks

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Reliable transportation
• Be able to lift at least 50 lbs. regularly
• Demonstrated ability to work in teams
• Reliable, predictive attendance is required
• Employee must have the ability to climb stairs and be on their feet for long periods of time.
• Must have a practical working knowledge of basic arithmetic functions (multiplication, division, addition, subtraction).
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
• HACCP certification and/or ServSafe Training a plus.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Candidates must be accustomed to working in a manufacturing plant with varying temperatures. This position is subject to noise from machinery. It will require varying degrees of personal protective equipment, including steel-toed boots, earplugs, gloves, lab coats, masks, and safety glasses or goggles.
